How does ProDec use cookies and similar tracking?

When you come to the ProDec site, we’ll display a message on your screen to advice you that cookies are running. This message will also allow you to switch cookies on or off. If you want to switch cookies on or off after you have been browsing specific pages, you can do this by going to your settings. You may have to update the settings on all your devices to make sure the cookies are how you want them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are bits of data that are stored on your computer or tablet or phone when you visit a website or app that make it easier to use the next time you visit the site. Using cookies also means that you do not have to give your details again if you have set any preferences. Cookies will also help to keep you signed in to your various mobile devices.

Some cookies are necessary as the website would not run without them and you cannot switch these on or off, but they do not track you, your preferences or use of the site.

Your information is safe and anonymous at all times, and we cannot identify you through the use of cookies.

To learn more about cookies and how to manage them, visit AboutCookies.org or watch a video about cookies.

How do we track you?

We use Google Analytics to analyse how our customers are using our website. This information is entirely anonymous, and we can not use it for any marketing purposes. Google Analytics helps us to see which pages are performing well and which ones need improvement. You can switch this information on and off when you visit our site.

There may be some other cookies that are on our site from third-parties – we keep these to a minimum, and if you want to turn them off, you will have to visit the third party site.

You can set your browser up to delete your cookies when you exit it, which is the most secure way to browse but this will mean you have to repeatedly input information into our website.

You can also adjust your browser so that Google Analytics can never be used; there’s more information here.
